Strictly for Hope Gala Ball, Prestonfield's Story
I'm fundraising for The House of Hope.
I have absolutely no idea how I’ve been roped into this…. given my previous dance experience, which consists of not a care in the world what I look like whilst having a great time 🫶
If anything, I hope my friends and family will donate to watch me compete as they probably cannot believe I’ve agreed to it…
I feel very passionately about supporting House of Hope for many reasons that are very close to my heart, I have been a part of their journey since day one and I’m very grateful to be asked to take part in this years Strictly for Hope Gala Ball.
Breast cancer affected me from a young age after my mother’s diagnosis many years ago, I watched as she struggled battling the disease that affected her physically and mentally.I’m thankful my mother is still here to tell the tale.
When one of my closest friends was diagnosed with breast cancer and I watched this awful disease destroy her I knew I wanted to do something to help support those impacted by breast cancer.
Without realising I’d met Lisa whilst attending a chemotherapy session with my late friend and little did I know years later I would be involved supporting her charity House of Hope Scotland.
Our family business now sponsors the charity Ball at Prestonfield and I am heavily involved in fundraising for the event.
I hope to give you all a giggle showing off my terrible dancing whilst having fun to raise as much as we can for this incredible charity.
My darling Eva, you are always in my thoughts xx
